1:00 PM - 1:55 PM (PST)
One-on-one tutoring in all areas of Theoretical Physics, including but not limited to classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics and statistical mechanics, electrodynamics, nuclear physics, relativity, and mathematical physics.
This one-on-one tutoring session is to provide individualized support for learners. The time is ideal for learners who may want additional help in an assignment or course and are looking for challenges exploring more advanced concepts.
To ensure learners get the most from the tutoring time, we ask that families advise us in advance on what area(s) their learners would like to focus on during their session.
Mahith Madhanakumar teaches this class:
Mahith holds two M.A. in physics, one in Theoretical Physics and the other in Research in Space Physics; he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Space Physics. During his academic career, Mahith published his research about the universe (specifically on dark energy, which causes the universe's expansion) and on the ionosphere (our upper atmosphere) in international peer-reviewed journals.
Mahith's teaching style varies according to the audience. He was the teaching assistant for undergraduate students at UNB, where the sessions involved lectures with occasional hands-on-demos and tutorials on physics problems. He was also a volunteer for a science centre in New Brunswick. Where he helped kids and teenagers understand science exhibits and experiments and the physics behind them in an interactive manner.
Mahith encourages students to ask questions and guides them to think outside the box instead of giving direct answers to arrive at solutions based on logical reasonings - an SQI (Structured Quantitative Investment) approach, which he employs a lot during discussion and interactive sessions.
Note: The time shown here is a placeholder only; if you are interested in Physics tutoring, please email us at [email protected], and we will set up a custom schedule for your learner for enrolment.
Mahith's general availability is as follows:
Mon - Fri 8am - 3pm PST
Sat/Sun 1am - 3pm PST
We offer early morning hours on Sat/Sun for international students
